Top tier linear shooter. If I remember right it looks like it could have come out today. That is besides the faces of npc's. Has a fun DLC mode too

one of the best horror shooters ever. mutants were too easy in 2033 but they fixed it in LL, the remaster also gives you a HUD in ranger hardcore now.

Easily weakest of the trilogy but it has its moments.

It's fine but it kinda squanders the theme of the first one being the usual journey of self discovery and learning the life in the metro and how it can be brutal but still give a message of hope. Last Light makes for a more playable game, despite the story's pitfalls.

I wasted so many MGRs in the strip club

Story-wise is pretty good, probably the only game in the series that was written well from start to finish, gameplay is so so. Shooting is better but stealth is ridiculously simple

Didn't like the campaign as much as 2033's, some of the DLCs were fun tho.

Better gameplay, worse atmosphere.

People meme on dishonored but this is the game that will actually lock you in the bad ending if you kill your enemies.

Worse than 2033 and Exodus.

Getting the good ending requires an annoying ammount of dedication. Even as a kid on my 360, I never killed anyone and yet, still got the bad ending all the time. You have to explore everything and listen to the ghosts and shit. 2033 was exactly the same if not worse since you also had to stand around doing nothing waiting for the hippie dude to stop talking so your screen does the *water drop* sound effect.

but desu, the karma events in LL are pretty meh and in the end it boils down to the tallkid saving you in the end.

If you kill your enemies they win

ok but my enemies are
>literal fascists with a plot to rule over the whole metro
>literal commies with a plot to rule and then starve to death the metro
Not much of a moral dilemma.

Reminder to play Last Light's Spider Nest DLC

Both Metro games are bad Russian COD clones, but the spider's nest DLC? Very atmospheric and very memorable compared to the base game.

You can kill people, you just need to have the right number of good boy points by the end. Some sections like the Bandits level don't give you points for knocking out gangbangers so you can slaughter them instead. Still, it's pretty retarded that you get good boy points for sparing every commie or nazi even if they are in the middle of deploying a biological weapon on some random station full of civvies. Also the game doesn't tell you how many points you have or need for the good end.

Story wise- the worst entry
The plot is just politics instead of being about Metro. Something along >Communism bad
>Nazis also bad (Russians are Nazis)
