Why are devs and gamers these days so obsessed with “smart” AI in single player games? It’s a single player game, just focus on making fun levels. If you want a game where you outthink your opponent, just play multiplayer game
normalfags still haven't figured out that AI just mimics the appearance if intellect so they think an actual all-knowing AI that can magically improve anything is possible

Who the fuck is obsessed with that? I haven't been wowed by ai in a game since fear. That was in 2005.

Just check out any discussion about difficulty, and you'll see everyone thinks harder levels should have smarter AI. Also, notice how modern games are really into 1v1 boss fights

Of course, they don't include that in their games because it's physically impossible to incorporate self learning AI into a video game for now
