Why did the people that make cartoons start hating anime? In the 90s we had a bunch of collaborations, like the teent titans and this shit, but now there's this clear disdain.

anti Japanese sentiment was a unilateral corporate thing that mostly occurred due to fear of soft power in the mid 2000s or so. Same reason they kept pushing toonami to like 4am on Fridays only

Blue haired one, I dont remember much about the show.
Why did they make a cartoon about a Japanese punk band anyways? It just seems very niche.
Does the band still perform?

It would be cool if ami and yumi were on the jury to convict P. Diddy, since he fucked with them back in the day like the retarded pedophile nigger he is.
got one of thier albums on vinyl. no going to lie, bought it cuz i saw the cartoon show as a kid and no reason beyond that. This album sounds very garage-y like its not heavily post produced and feels like a collection of 2000s surfer bum beach songs

one of the execs at Cartoon Network was a weeb and was specifically a fan of that band. He campaigned for them to do the theme song for Teen Titans, and then campaigned to make a cartoon of him. as soon as he left CN, the show got cancelled.
Call me unc, but I remember a time on the Internet when 2004-2009 shows like HHPAY were seen as the "nu" cancer that hijacked the "good" Cartoon Network of 1992-2004.
I recommened watching Imprint. Its only about an hour long. Very surreal. Theres is a very hard to watch torture scene and a girl is shibari'd and strung up upside down till she pisses all over herself. It kinda felt like watching an anime, but live action.
