At best, there may be a Smash Bros game. There are some signs pointing to it. Other than that, I guess the Splatoon spin off and the next Pokemon. Star Fox is my hope but who knows if it will ever happen.

Even better than right now, which will just make it that much more hilarious when snoys continue to cry "n-n-n-n-nogaems" despite it having 40+ exclusives

I definitely think we’re gonna see a new 3d mario inspired by galaxy. I would’ve also said animal crossing but I think 2027 or 2028 is more likely now

Sakurai's still putting the finishing touches on the Air Riders day 1 update.
The only Smash thing that could possibly get finished in 2026 is a Switch 2 update to Ultimate.
Which might be better than a completely new game now that I think about it

It's PvPvE. That's a Tarkov clone, not a successor to Bloodborne. Which fucking sucks because it's a multiplayer focused game like Nightreign instead of something good.

I didnt like Mario kart world all that much. Didn't get Donkey Kong, but I'm excited for the splatoon spinoff and Metroid prime 4. More than anything I hope they announce a new smash game ASAP. Other than that, a new animal crossing would be cool, maybe a new pikmin game. Also when is Mario getting his obligatory 3d platformer release? Other than that, the console is really nice but I wouldn't recommend purchasing yet unless you are a really really big Nintendo fan. Just not enough games yet.

I doubt Sakurai would be involved. The fact they wanted him to make Kirby Air Ride and not Smash is proof enough they are moving on. There has already been job listings with Bandai Namco suggesting as such. Likely its either the Mario Kart team (as Smash was updated right after the booster pass ended and there are quit a few people missing from the credits) or HAL (since their only big project since Forgotten Land was a remake and DLC).

I sorta expect a new Earth Defense Force announcement in 2026 but it won't likely release until 2027.
