wrpgs used to be the gold standard and respected, and inspired many of the jrpg series we see today, but that was back when they were being made by a team of 30 white men with full creative control

The best game from the left group is made by french people.

The group on the right is cherrypicked. There are dozens of good wrpg's that are considered some of the best games ever made like planescape torment, arcanum, bg1/2/3, and many others.
Also, Kibbelah is based and the game she's from is actually good so I don't know why she's placed among the cherrypicked dangerhairs and leftoid mush characters on the right.

I don't know why everything on this board has to be so bad faith. I come here thinking I will discuss videogames with other people who like videogames and I'm almost always disappointed.

I think its less the complexity and more that it doesn't really explain the mechanics. If you've never played DnD 5 trying to wrap your head around the explanation for how spell saves work from the in game descriptions is a fucking learning curve.

Roleplay is one of the worst thing made by mankind, jrpg are better because they arent full roleplay like western turds

Dragon Age 2 had a angsty emo elf boy which got a bunch of women to come out of the wood work across the space, realize that there were enough of them to be a actual cultural block, and then run it into the fucking ground with the progressive posturing they let in.

OP posted a bunch of ugly people for the western side of the image so I responded accordingly.
For another point the writing has gotten a lot worse, but that's across the board with modern fiction writing. I blame the the lack of separation between fan and creatives leading to people not growing past their fanfiction impulses personally.
