I'll just say this, this problem is entirely the price, simple as that.
The first was a really mediocre game that most people didn't like (me included), so asking for 70€ for a sequel that's 100% more of the same is like shooting yourself in the foot.
At 40€/$ it would have sold three or four times the amount and they would have earned double the money minimum, but hey, gotta cost 80 euroridoos or the 90 fucking euros they wanted to charge first for this game...
