if you use the battle zero on an AK-47 or an AKM the peak height of the bullet's parabola is like 12.5 inches. So if you were to line up a headshot you could be over a foot high.
American guns aren't as bad. With the marine zero I think the highest point is like 4.5 inches, the Army zero is like 6 inches and the army zero on an M4 is like 7 or 8 inches. not super sure I know going from 200 yards to 300 yards in high power you add 3 moa as a ground rule and that's 6 inches at 200 yards, but IDK when the max of the parabola is. Like the marine max parabola is at like 170 yards so you don't get the full 6 inches.
AK-74s also have some retarded max peak because their battle zeroes are like 400 meters or something retarded

That is the base case scenario for me to take your "realistic" game seriously, unless your game released in the 6th generation of consoles and PC games. I think it is so stupid when your gun just shoots in random directions because you were moving or jumping or whatever. Or even worse, not aiming down sight.

Just because you're firing from the hip doesn't mean the bullet takes a downward 40 degree angle followed by a leftward 27 degree angle. Find better ways to discourage hip firing if it doesn't mesh well with your idea of the gameplay. Or just do what Red Orchestra did. And Killing Floor before that. I prefer how RO has you aiming the gun a little bit before your vision moves though.

If you want realisme, almost all your bullets will go anywhere, especially if you fire at a rapid rate. It's unrealistic to expect all those bullets to hit someone's torso at 100 meters

I just want shotguns to be good in vidya. There are downsides to a shotgun that you can translate to a virtual world but so many fuck it up, it's annoying.

I wouldn't be surprised if some milsim models this but nobody really notices since milsims are games where headshots and precise aim don't really matter and it's actually a dumb choice to go for a headshot when you can go for center mass instead. No other games are going to do this, for obvious reasons, namely being that nobody gives a fuck and it'd just make the guns feel worse especially in a game where you actually do want to go for headshots.

If the rifle is zero'd to 400 meters, the "first" zero would be between 25 and 50 meters.

Furthermore, the games which you are complaining about do not feature engagements out to 50 meters. And if you want to get REALLY pedantic, you can't say for sure how the rifle is zero'd. So congratulations on being overwhelmingly wrong about everything you have an opinion on.
