Majima’s pirate game is very fun, the characters are also good, but I’d say the story isn’t that interesting. The post-credit scene was fantastic, though.

You can say the same thing about the dating the hostess minigame which was in almost every game.

Pirate Yakuza seemed rough besides combat and even though Kiwami 3 will be better to play everything else seems neutered. Mine game is cool but I think RGG needs a serious break from the series instead of pumping out entries so fast. Hopefully we get a sizable gap while they work on VF6 and STH (which looks fantastic).

Thing is in 3 and 4, you run a cabaret club, and go to a different hostess bar to date the girls there. In 0 and K2, it was merged to both.

No. No one enjoyed Hostess Maker. It's basically just a step above The Marietta as a minigame and that was already bad enough since both minigames mandate guide usage or you're outright going to go bankrupt due to it not telling you what your girl's equip stats are until after you start the session and get told they're hideous. The point of contention is they're removing content and no one's sure if they're replacing it with anything. Even so, they're cutting content in general which is what pisses people off more.

The Marietta is not Hostess Maker, it's The Marietta. It's the proto version of Hostess Maker. You didn't actually see the girls on the floor from what I recall, you had to stop them from being suicidal with gifts and pep talks, and you had to purchase things for The Marietta to keep it upgrading all of which does not happen with Hostess Maker whatsoever. Yes, it has the same outfit system but that's pretty much it.

Because it was cut from the western PS3 version. The Japanese PS3 version had it as does the remaster, and also the restoration patch for the PC and PS3 versions.
