It's fun, despite some jank. I've played jankier. Do you mean the Saturn version? That was the original, then later, it was ported to PS1. The PS2/Wii game is sort of a reboot but in third person instead of first.

I did too, partway through 9S playthrough now. 9S is interesting, I'm really regretting being less thorough in my first playthrough on side missions. Loved first playthrough though, stoked to play it 4 more times and i'm not joking.

Nier:Automata and Stellar Blade are the only games I actively plan to replay over and over again. The fundamental game loop of both games is just so fun and I like the setting, environments and the characters within each world, not to mention the sexy gynoid robutts. Even the 9S part of NA is pretty all things considered. I just hate how the hacking mini-game is used all the time and can't be skipped for the more common enemy mobs.

It sucks that Western devs can't return to this type of high octane, balls-to-the-wall fun game design and stick to either hyper autistic simulation games, played out FPSes or barely interactive movie games but at least someone is making fun games.

I really enjoy being in the Nier: Automata gameworld. The environment design, the music, the characters. I don't mind having to go from one side of the map to the other, and exploring is really fun.

I played first time on normal difficulty and am now on the harder difficulty. This game is tough. I would like to work my way up to do impossible difficulty on my last playthrough.
