In BG 3, the characters only have a handful for romance scenes with very loose requirements, which is basically actively not being interested in anything they have to say, with an approval rating system depending of your choices during normal gameplay. Gale, since it's the most talked about example itt, has 3 romance scenes in the whole game. All of the dialogue choices during those scenes have at least 2 options that will lead to romance.
