How are you're guys'ses playthroughs going? Beat DQ1 last night. Moving on!

I haven't finished a video game in 7 months.

I'm still on DQ3 and I'm kind of bored with it, probably will pick it back up again in another 6 months or so. I'll keep an eye out on this but I'm not in a hurry at all to play it, will get it 50% off sale at most.

Fwiw, they fixed a lot of the issues people had with 3's early game. 1 especially is much more difficult throughout.

BUT, ALSO, THOUGHEVER: If you manage to stick it out, DQ3's post game is an actual challenge and pretty fun.

Glad to hear it actually. I'm playing Draconian from the beginning and first time playing DQ3 in any form. Aside from a few boss fights, only the pyramid had some decent challenge, and even that wasn't nearly as bad as people were memeing it.

Finally got a day off so I'm going to take a big chunk out of I today, maybe finish it and start II. So far it's a lot of fun.

I'm not far in but I'm agreeing with the sentiment I'm seeing on Twitter and elsewhere that the boss fights are really shining in 1. Its not SUPER difficult, yet, but I'm not just auto battling with a team of monster tamers like I did with 3. Feels good so far.

Way to much filler. I finished the first and also moved on. End game content not worth. Also sort of pissed off how weird the characters look compared to the maps.

Just checked and it seems like it's mostly people complaining about DQ1 only having 1 party member and "reusing content" from DQ3, so basically people complaining about DQ1 being DQ1. The ones that aren't are people who have 1 hour of play time and didn't like DQ3HD but for some reason decided to buy 1&2HD anyway.

In DQ1 there's a Puff Puff but after the fade to black stops, she gives you a puffy hot spring egg. In DQ2 there's one and after the fade to black stops, it shows her cheering your team on with pom poms

It's a UE game, just get it on PC and edit the ini. If you don't know what you're doing then you can just find a list to copy and paste in either the Octopath 2 or Triangle Strategy discussion forums
