I used to think the same before but now that I got better at games I find that time limits add some tension and challenge.

I out off Majora’s Mask as a kid because the whole game being on a timer scared me. But I can probably appreciate the game more as an adult than I would have as a child.

It’s to deter other attention seeking teenagers from making a big show of their suicide on Twitter. If you do this, you will be mocked long after you die. People in real despair don’t post their suicide location on social media. They eat a bullet and make cleanup someone else’s problem.

I dropped stardew valley because there was a timer on top and they said at the end of the year someone will come and evaluate my farm. also I dropped it because first quest is retarded, how should I know where all villagers are

Funny pic but time limits are kino in vidya. Or they can be, if they don't take you out of the gameplay. Dream Drop Distance is a great example. The player needs less control over the game, but the gameplay should never be interrupted. Forcing you to switch between two different guys in different levels was a revolutionary idea. They only dropped it because retards who don't know what they want cried about it. Back in the day, this crybaby minority would be ignored because the actual artists know what you want.

Genuinely where the fuck does this schizo shit come from. I browse this site daily and I have no clue why the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland is associated with a troon that killed himself, or why a faggot keeps headcanoning lesbians into undertale and getting monkey torture spammed in his threads. Am I out of touch or just slow?

That totally makes sense.
Time limits in action games can create tension and risk, but a cozy game shouldn't be a speedrun sim.
Stardew Valley is basically a speedrun sim and more stressful than Dark Souls because you are constantly rushing from objective to objective, trying to catch the NPC time cycles and try to be back at home before 2:00.

People like him should be mocked instead of romanticized. People are much less likely to be copycats if they assume people will think them as a looser instead of some tragic figure

jumping head first off a massive sky-scraper? wouldn't the feeling be negligible? since it would go so fast, wouldnt the neurons get smashed and slammed hard enough that it doesnt compute pain that well?

Everyone who jumped and survived said they regretted jumping the moment they took the jump. Maybe the impact wouldn't hurt but those seconds until impact would be the longest and most painful seconds of your life

Finally, a fellow timer hater! I hate limited resources in general, consumables especially, but timers are the worst. Instead of enjoying the world of the game, instead of exploring it, observing, enjoying you are rushed further along the plot or just along the empty corridors skipping all and everything as if the developer doesn't want you to play his game in the first place. Even if the timer is superlong and exists just because, it still creates psychological pressure, that takes away the fun. And faggots-speedrunners through their existence within any amount of media popularity automatically make some developers of otherwise decent games to add some mandatory speedrunning/timered sections and/or events, like that two in Valdis Story.

>game has a time limit
>it's an absurdly generous limit and you will never struggle with it unless you go out of your way to do so
This is my problem with time limits. Why even have them if this is what will end up happening? I only like time limits when they are autistically strict and force me to step out of my comfort zone and optimize my movements/route.
Anonymous No.724718546 [Report]
>>724716823
Hey autismo your farm gets reevaluated every year until you make it so who cares.
>also I dropped it because first quest is retarded, how should I know where all villagers are
Again that quest has no time limit the only purpose is for you to know whether you have already met all townsfolk or not.
