I'm not a Chris-Chan level autist who makes friends with video game characters.

I'll go full-on hot take and say when I first saw DKC's (1994) design I thought, "How is that supposed to be Donkey Kong?". It looked nothing like the hit video game character who had his own Saturday morning cartoon.

I was annoyed back then for ten seconds and then didn't care anymore because the game was good.
