Castlevania thread

I am emulating legacy of darkness and this control scheme is horrendous. If any of you have a custom control scheme for a modern controller please post it. I'm using an 8bitdo pro 3.

Those people asking for a 1999 game please stop. Think about the state of gaming right now and strongly consider whether that would be good or not. The days of games being made by people who had passion for making games is over. Now its just a job like anything else and you can easily see this with modern games. Also, 1999 has been so hyped up that anything they do will be lacking.

Jonathon and Charlotte also did indeed get married but jonathon died before charlotte (I'm guessing the whip took its toll on him). Charlotte led the church's mages/witches against dracula at the battle of 1999. Jonathon was already dead at this time.

Also what is the game where you can play as a persephone? On another note harmony of dissonance's locked doors is fucked, what were they thinking?

Also regarding HoD, in my opinion, Juste Belmont is one of the strongest belmonts due to being adept at magic. I like the irony that one of the strongest belmonts never got to fight dracula.

Lament of Innocence was a pretty great game whos story goes balls to the wall near the end of the game. The earlier parts are a slog though story wise. Pic related is in regards to the plot

C'mon those are memorable locations just like the paintings in PoR. It's way better idea than entire game taking place only in Dracula's Castle.

I don't know what were they thinking with the completely linear level design for the entire first half of the game. The game becomes amazing once you get to Dracula's castle, but everything that comes before it really soured the game's reputation.

Because they wanted to make a game around making rescuing and doing quests for the villagers. Thats how you get the good ending, you rescue everyone.
Can you imagine rescuing everyone in a big map like SOTN or DOS? It would get tedius

Here's how I do it.
Map the D-Pad to the right stick You can double map it to the D-Pad for menuing
map B to Y
Map A to B
Map C right to A
Map C down to X
Map Z to L2
Map R to R2
Map C up to R1
Map C down to L1
Map L to L3, or Select which ever you are less likely to press by accent

This way, we have the camera controls on the right stick, the camera buttons on the right shoulders, and the action button and short attack on the face. Though you might want to switch R1 and L1 to have the sub weapon button match Castlevania IV, depending on your preference.
