I did. They're average, fairly easy games. Decent overall in that they are generic which can be good instead of a game relying on an overused gimmick.

I played Pirate's Curse to see what all the hype was about, and found it to be cute but otherwise exceptionally mid.
And just to make sure, I also played the GBC game and found it to also be mid, on account of having both interesting ideas and baffling choices.

Giving her twin tails is the most obvious indicator that some aspect of the core gameplay is going to be completely different. Depicting Risky next to Shantae without her hat or her usual smugness makes me wonder if she's gonna be an ally again.

From what I remember from Pirate's Curse, it's not just her that scares guys away, but her parents butting in and screwing things up for her.
Iirc Barracuda Joe wasn't the first one to get screwed due to Sky's dad dragging some cursed artifact to the meeting.

What about Shanty? Her games are mid at best.
Her genie ass is the only selling point. If you want to play an actual good game like Shanty play Monster Boy instead.
