>Game Key Card
You know I'm actually glad Nintendo did this, because now there's a universal, completely visible indicator for this type of bullshit.
Compare that to something recent like Doom Dark Ages, where it has a very tiny "internet required" stamp in the corner, but it's vague and could mean anything from DLC to multiplayer, let alone the fact that the disc contains no game data whatsoever and you need to download the full 86GB install from the internet anyways.

I have a switch 2 otherwise only played on PC for ten years. I cant fucking fathom playing anything triple AAA on this thing. Its a good purchase for me since I havent even played galaxy before, but this thing has the power of a smartphone. I wouldnt even play these on my deck let alone the switch. just nuts.

At least it isn't a boxed set with cases filled with a game code. Still very foul and lazy from Capcom.

For me it's the opposite. I buy games on Switch 2 and just pirate games on PC but I barely even play on PC nowadays. Used to be big on PC pre-Switch 1

>>724740409
That's probably because you're a faggot who cannot appreciate when a big AAA gets crunched down for the Switch and becomes portable.

It's just comfy.

Why should I play this on the Switch 2 when it's on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Steam Deck, the ROG Ally X and plays better on all of those devices?

Its comfy to play a game with worse graphics and optimization on a smaller screen are you retarded, in a nintendo cult, or just that much of an internet addicted contrarian. Also red dead is fucking trash and sonic is for gay furries. shit taste fuck off.

The PS4 was the console that started the trend of downloading games on discs thoughever. Funny how this board never complained about it when that happened all the way back in 2013. Same with paid internet, only a bad thing when Nintendo does it, in spite of the lower cost versus Xbox and Playstation.

It's real funny indeed

You wasted your money when Galaxy 1 and 2 can be emulated, and the Switch 2 emulator is already in beta.

Yeah basically everyone but the retards that pushed for them knew they were retarded but they still insisted on having them make these. because they want to have their cake and eat it instead of just making the games digital only.

Anonymous No.724741558 [Report]
I don't usually talk about console retard shit but im happy to see Nintendo finally eating shit after making their business model "exploit ideologically captured low IQ millennials"

It feels like switch 2 is when they finally stopped mattering, rightfully. Cultural influence has been imbalanced since they've produced so little of note for 30 years
Anonymous No.724741606 [Report]

You're looking at it anachronistically. Most games during the first half of the PS4 era still had the full game on the disc, and your day one patch was relatively small to fix problems that were found after printing happened. Took several years for companies to realize they can just fuck you over completely without repercussions, until the Switch 2 that is.
Anonymous No.724742221 [Report]
devs are so lazy they don't even want to put the game in the cartridge anymore
Anonymous No.724743324 [Report]
So Requiem for 70 dollars, and Village/7 for 10 dollars each? All digital with no other bonuses.

What's the point of this? That's the PC standard. Just the fancy box?

My first code in a box was Dishonored 1 on PC was predates the PS4 launch. It was inevitable that consoles, which are always behind PC, would adopt the same practices eventually. Manuals were already dead then, it's no surprise they wanted to save money on discs/carts too.

I have the generation pack pre-ordered on the Eshop since it looked to be a pretty good deal, and I didn't have the opportunity to play 7 and 8 yet.
>>724740409
We reached an era of strongly diminishing returns, so unless you purposely make a rushed Switch 2 port (like the guys at Atlus admitted on P3R's case), the differences between platforms are a lot less obvious than a generation or two ago between portable and home gaming machines.
>>724742002
We have 12 years of a certain kind of behavior for physical media normalized by the other consoles – you buy a disc, you put it in, the game first installs and updates, and then you get to play it. Functionally to the end user, the behavior of the GKC is the same. Yes, enthusiasts know that a disc has data on it and a GKC doesn't, but the average end user does not care.

Like >>724743754 says, we're truly in an era of diminishing returns now beyond graphics. With the provision that this is very likely the last console gen that I'm deeply into, I'm accepting this loss. Portable is my favorite way to play anything, so I'll still probably get this. But I'll be on the lookout for the ps4/5 versions that have the full games on disc so that I can retain some feeling of ownership. It might be a cope but I don't care. There are enough games on ps4/5 and switch 1/2 that I'm realistically never going to run out of things to play for as long as I live.
