Because I have bare minimum standards, and I want to play a game. AI can't be consistent to save its nonexistent fucking life without you holding its hand every step of the way, and it especially can't produce anything even close to a compelling or believable narrative. Characters and the overarching plot WILL flip on a dime and you WILL have to wrangle it back into shitting out something that is at least kind of relevant before it does it again. It's cool for a few hours and then the limitations become so damning that you don't even want to bother anymore unless you standards are so low that they're practically subterranean.

CoC2 is poorly designed on a fundamental level.
Its a porn game.
Delivering the porn to the players takes precedence over everything else.
CoC1 did this efficiently.
You click through a few short establishing paragraphs.
You explore several times.
Bam. You have access to basically every encounter in the game.

CoC2 by contrast is just walls and walls and walls of inane blather. Endless talking, endless elaboration.
Its like I'm reading the worldbuilding notes on someone's attempt at a fantasy novel instead of an interactive porn delivery system.

Are there any mods that remove the insane amount of futa/gay shit? CoC1 wasn't even a fraction as bad about this. And in that is the games biggest failing. COC at its core was always about the TF and moral degradation, or, in some cases, redemption. No character in this game has managed to match the depths of depravity you can drag someone like Amily, nor the feeling of making a cheap whore like Sophie or dominant futa like Izma into your loyal, loving partner. Hell, even the PC feels like a massive step back. TFs just aren't as interesting as they are in 1 or even fucking TITS.

The early grind is a pain no matter what's your build
Do not get memed into enabling the hunger mechanic, that shit is unfun
Edit your save for infinite money and skill points, do not actually set your level higher, you won't be able to raise your stats and the enemy encounters will OHKO you
Use the skill point to pick any perk your find interesting, be careful when picking specialised job perks as you can't pick them all even with infinite points
Get to the gun shop in Tel'Adre asap and ask about the low stock, that will enable unlocking new guns through exploration
Level up your strength first and use the gym until you max out the stats it can give
From then on put eveything into wisdom and start cultivating, this will give you access to tons of options for ranged/magic/melee builds and tons of QoL stuff
Once you feel you're ready to not get raped at every encounter, start raising the stats you actually want
For magic there's a lot more spells than in vanilla so try to find the way to buy as many black/white/gray/red books as you can
For ranged I'm very sorry but you'll need to start by mastering archery with Kelt, it will affect the damage you do with guns too
For melee just buy the biggest sword you can equip, go to options to enable multi-hit perks and enjoy clicking attack until you win

No matter your build, expect silly numbers, progress in exponential

activate hardcore mode (all this does is turn off level-gating for regions)
use the arena in hexindao for early leveling, golems aren't that hard
do cultivation no matter what class you are, it offers passive stat bonuses
mid-late game leveling is done in the ebon labyrinth almost exclusively
get as many followers as you can and have as many kids as you can
make sure to invest in your passive perks like +HP on level up and +% stats
either stay human and do a ton of mutations or look through the racial list for stats that mesh with whatever class you're going for
NG+ is fun
for builds, I'll just say that necromancer, multi-strike and gun builds are all ludicrously strong, but you really can't make a bad build; by the time your build comes online a little you'll probably find yourself wanting to set the difficulty settings to max just so enemies don't all die instantly (by max level they'll die anyway)
