Best Digimon V-pet?
I like pendulum because there's terriermon, X for the QoL, 20th for the content, color for the colors and the collabs for the cool monsters.

The Digimon balance is pretty shit and the part of the early-ish game where you're grinding challenges for exp to progress the story is not engaging at all. You're severely handicapped if your favorite only has close-range attacks.
The combat is probably the weakest point which isn't great since it's what you're doing most of the time. Seeing the sprite animations per mon is the main appeal.

Is Beatbreak actually good? is it a "Digimon of the week" type of anime, or is there some branching storyline/ plot so far? (i know the anime is still quite new but just wondering what first impressions are like).

I busted out some digimon vpets I bought a few years ago after Time Stranger put me in a digimon mood. I had some fun for a while and wanted to buy some new ones. Then I found out they’re all overpriced to shit and with worse features than the Digimon X. Premium Bandai already sells them overpriced and then after the scalpers get their hands on them they can go for hundreds of dollars. Look up the Tamagotchi Paradise which is also a vpet by Bandai and you’ll see just how low effort the digimon vpets are, and it’s cheaper too.
I’ve been seething about this for weeks now. I just don’t fucking get it. They were selling the things for 20 dollars in normal retail stores when I first got into these. What happened? Why am I getting fucked in the ass now as Digimon is getting a big uptick in relevance? Nobody gave a fuck about digimon a few years ago (last relevant release in the west was cyber sluts) but I could buy a vpet from any grocery store. Now they release their biggest hit in years and they’re selling merch like it’s some hyper niche thing. They’re more expensive than Time Stranger with the DLC! I’m losing my fucking mind!
