Falls off a cliff at the opera house. Felt like there was a missing dungeon for the mages college or whatever. The big tweest at the end was stupid. Didn't bother finishing the last month because I didn't want to deal with the blight while finishing sidequests.

no romance = no one cares enough to shitpost and argue with each other about who the best or worst girl is
it also could have benefitted from another region

Characters aren't that good either and their sidequests are dogshit, it's just watching a short cutscene after the next but it's spread throughout the game and it doesn't matter anyways. You just do it because it's on your checklist

Personally I didn't like it at all.
As has been mentioned in this thread, the dungeons are bad, and characters are very dumb.
I do respect that the writers wanted to tackle the heavy themes that the game has, but honestly, they are not good enough to do it properly. Everything about the game is just so damn toothless.

I'm still baffled people thought this game was great.

Everyone's saying it's because there's no romance, but it's more because there's nowhere near the same level of perversion that made Persona 5 as memorable as it is.

Putting a dark sex abuse scandal with a PE teacher into the same game where you can blackmail your Homeroom teacher into letting you slack in class and eventually have her rock your world as a maid is a wild play, all while you're getting dommed by two toddlers.

The game is obsessed with giving everyone either massive shoulder pads, or weird patterns on their clothes. Sometimes both, and it never looks good.
Out of the playable cast pretty much only Heismay looked good.

this is the last game I think I got really into and put in the 100 hours in about a month, I never do that anymore. It's not even that great but for the majority it does manage to grab at your imagination and makes you wonder where it's going to go. the production values are there and even if it's not more than a 7/10 it's so rare for jrpgs to feel big now

The writer simply doesn't possess big enough brain to tackle the themes he tried to tackle in P5 and ReFantazio. P3 and P4 were more simple since they focused more on the humans as individuals rather than societal themes.

If Pokémon is a RPG for kids this is the best example of a RPG for teens. You won't relate to this as an adult. To be honest I'm surprised by atlas's success in general. Idk how they get away copypasting the stupid dungeons in every game.

Personally I always liked >=3 Persona games for being a good fusion of dungeon crawlan, monster fusion autism and VN segments. 5R kinda felt like it overstayed its welcome in the VN world at times when I went for 10 hours of dialogue one day without a single encounter but whatever.
The Metaphor release kinda passed me by, and now that it's out for a time I'm absolutely not in a rush to play it. But I don't even know if I'll like it since I have no idea how deep its RPG mechanics are.

It's a nice game but it doesn't have much content compared to other Atlus games. I 100%'d on hard on my first attempt with ease so there is nothing left except I think 1 super hard mode but I'm waiting for DLC/expansion first

Because it's just a worse Persona 5. No romance, dungeons are boring as shit, most of the characters except for the antagonist aren't even interesting. The only saving grace is a better combat system. But other than that it has neither Persona's romance and character development or SMT's writing so it ends up being worse than both.
