The original game is from 2004, at that time, the tranny propaganda war had not started yet. Transgenders would not be forced down anybody's throats until around the 2013-2016 era.
In 2004, you didn't see trannies online, nor on TV, you didn't see them anywhere, and YES RETARDS you might be able to find a few examples like Poison, but the point, that was RARE. It was not common. Trans was not being shoved down anybody's throat, it was incredibly rare, and we were not being subjected to trans propaganda that much yet. Vivian was a questionable example, a femboy, trans, whatever, who fucking cares. The American Nintendo division didn't want any of that shit in the localization because they thought it was all inappropriate for kids, because at that time, in 2004, everybody agreed that femboy/trans anything of that nature was a sexual fetish, and therefore it was inappropriate for a game rated E or T. Years later, in 2024, we have been getting subjected to trans propaganda in the west for around 10 years now, so every American company will take any opportunity they get to include trans, regardless of what Vivian ever was in the East, they wanted to make Vivian trans.
I am so annoyed this was the only thing people seemed to acknowledge about the remake though. TTYD was a good game lol.
