What was hinted about BlazBlue's future is Christianity. CF's ending has literally all the female characters become nuns.

This hints they will drop all the japanese mythos and start including western mythos.

BlazBlue CT is what made me play fighting games seriously and BBCF ultimately reaching the end of its cycle and becoming less played by the community is what made me finish playing fighting games in general.

Mostly because there will just never, ever be a fighting game that feels better to me to play than Nu-13. I have never and probably will never find a character as fun to just move around and fight with as her. Not even other annoying ass zoners. Something about her, probably Act Parser, is just unmatched in feel.

If you are good enough to beat everyone in the tournament except 2 people, hand craft a strategy to beat those two people. By that I mean study the distribution of their blockstrings, their mixups, the probabilities that they choose rock/paper/scissors, what they tend to get hit by, their strategy in neutral, when they burst, etc. This is made somewhat easier because the favorites in any given tournament usually have tons of footage online that will let you pre-download them. Then you are unbeatable, even though you aren't the best player in the field.

I was so hyper focused on winning through honing my skill alone, that I never considered formulating specific strategies to beat the specific players who countered me and always seemed to have my number.

I only accidentally stumbled upon this a few times when I would see someone really good talking about their matches on Dustloop. They would mention how the person they were talking to was using X to fuck them up. Then if I ever fought them later, I would do X and it would still fuck them up, even though they were better than me in raw skill. Then later they would say that it was like I "knew what they were trying to do" or "was reading their mind". I just never put 2 and 2 together until much later.

BBCF is legitimately my favorite fighting game of all-time. Nearly everything about it is phenomenal. It’s also respectable that it is one of last ORIGINAL FG IPs ever. (of any consequence - not counting indieslop) It’s a little sad that the series is over, but it has seemingly been spared the grim fate of having it’s identity raped by a (current year) iteration, and it got a rollback patch, so I can’t complain too much.

I can name few dozen or so people that can definitely smoke me, but they won't all be in the same tournament and the same path. But I feel like seeing the massive gulf that is between the best and the very best it kinda drained me of motivation instead of firing me up.

Because it ended (and that's a good thing - I know Mori wanted to end BB as a fighting game series with Ragna's story but he had no idea how to continue the series after that, and A:DW as FGO clone was clearly not a good idea)
And yes, you can still play CF, but I already had years of playing it. To be honest, I still think that CSEX had the best balance in the series and I miss some versions of characters from it (for example, I prefer CSEX Hazama over his CP or CF versions).

I've been playing BBCF on and off since it was on sale in June, and my only other ASW point of reference is DBFZ and 4 hours of +R.
How do you start consciously trying to use rapid cancels in combos? I feel like I ignore it unless i accidentally trigger it because my button mapping has me press Drive + my ABC shortcut for overdrive, or I remember to try it during attacks with a bunch of frames?

Because getting into a hard game this late in it's life cycle is too intimidating for me. I'm still kind of salty but I'm glad the mobile game at least made her situation a bit better after the god awful ending she got in the main games.

I played as her since CT purely for the fun factor and got very invested in her character. Waited years hoping for a figure of her too and we never got one. But all I wanted was some sort of resolution to the scene in CS where Ragna promises he'll save her.

Instead she got absolutely no story relevance in CP, and then basically nothing in CF except since the ending involves Ragna literally deleting himself from existence, she ends up basically braindead because he defined so much of her mind. Actually fucked me up because I was so invested in her. First time I'd cared for a character so hard that go so assblasted in the story by the writers.

I guess I'll take her being a wanderer that is looking for something she lost over being braindead and bedridden though.
