I had a friend like this. He bought Elden Ring and only played it when I was online so he could summon me. I basically held his hand through the entire game. A lot of normies use video games as a vehicle to hang out with their friends rather than to actually get into a game.

What mentality do I have if it's the other way around? I can't play games unless I'm playing them alone, I don't like the feeling of having to rely on others for entertainment, I like to have my own fun. I don't mind someone watching in the same room, like my girlfriend for example, she likes to watch me play games but that's really as far I let it go.

Now that you say that, I remember when Fallout 4 came out I had a few friends that would all sit in a party chat on ps4 while playing. They would send me invites too, and I had to explain to them that I wanted to get immersed in the experience and that is impossible if I'm talking to them
