yes and it is a fair line to draw. Saudis aren't trustworthy and will turn all EA products into gambling slop, moreso than present. It can get much worse. Everything rich arabs touch always turns to shit, usually because arabs just use their toys/companies/slaves/owned objects as venues for embezzlement and money laundering. The EA buyout deal garuntees EA will not make it to 2030. Saudis will either fuck it up with their incompetence, deliberately destroy it for some other business venture, or break it down into gambling only and then be screwed when California bans it (and this is a real debate happening there now due to polymarket and kanshi pushing shit too far).

EA has been handling their public relations in a pretty clever fashion, ngl. By setting up the SimGurus as community managers they can just have one of them act as fall guy whenever they inevitably fuck up and the community will turn on each other because someone hurt the poor corporate stooge's fee fees
