I personally really liked it, it's definitely better than the later seasons which were getting kinda zombified, but it feels distinct, and it feels like there's character growth and a slightly more serialized narrative.
I like all the vocal performances barring Kahn and Dale. Johnny Hardwick's modern Dale is unironically worse than Toby Huss' version, who sounds like he's trying to capture Hardwick's modern stilted cadence while still sounding closer in tone to the original Dale (Hardwick sounds like he has a stuffy nose, but he was near death at the time). Overall I can accept Dale given the circumstances, and I'm glad they gave it to Toby Huss since they took away his role as Kahn and Cotton will only get flashback cameos. Kahn, on the other hand, sounds far too young, it just doesn't work, but he's only been in one episode so far.
It's really nice seeing how characters have turned out, like Bobby having actually turned out alright and being responsible, though it creates an interesting disconnect with his contemporaries who are more liberal and less responsible. He has a one-night stand and doesn't have issues with girls, but he was hoping for something genuine.

She doesn't bother me as much now, but she feels a bit more wise, and the way she and Hank talk feels very real, it feels less like cartoon parents and more like a real husband and wife in early retirement. She still has cases of narcissism, but she's been a voice of reason too.
