Sony STILL Censors Japanese Games
https://www.wsj.com/articles/sony-moves-playstation-headquarters-to-california-1453794813
It happened in 2016, then they made it so ALL playstation games get reviewed by their shiny new california office..
>Yes, Japanese PlayStation games intended for release on the PlayStation platform are subject to review by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), which is headquartered in San Mateo, California.
>This review process is a platform requirement set by Sony, a private company, not a governmental mandate from the state of California itself.
This review is forced EVEN ON JAPAN. So yes, Japanese PlayStation games are forced to market to what the West wants, specifically California, even if they want to target Japanese people only.
This is called censorship. They're censoring Japanese content to favor California desires. The reason? Most likely Globalism. Which is still a threat.
What the gaming public WANTS and NEEDS is for japanese games to cater to Japan specifically, that's what makes their games amazing.
