Here's the hard to swallow pill on that. Chamber is the worst starter, by a mile.
Parlor is the best, straight from deck, straight into Lady, and a WIND attribute, so fuck bystials
Lady into Chamber, grab field spell, fuse together for Nib protection in 4 cards.
Kitchen is 2nd best, her biggest flaw is she enables droll but mostly the same. But there are fringe cases where you can use her to cycle other cards.
Plus is Nib comes down, you can still do your plays as normal and just dump tidying with parlor as your search
Chamber is worst, and a detriment to the deck in MD sadly. First off, all the Dragonmaid spells/traps kinda suck. They are not good cards.
Tidying is the best one, but its just a compulse that requires setup. Better in the grave
Hospitality is only good if you've set up and is very easily a birck
Fusion spell is only good cause its can be recycled, its still a hard -3 fusion spell in a deck that wont give you resources back til next turn.
Whats worse is the Chamber start is:
Chamber, search Hospitality (weak to imperm/ash)
Striker Dragon (Bystials)
Hospitality revive chamber dump her dragon form (Bystials and Ash, plus you'll go minus here)
Then you can finally lady
Lady ss from deck and summons and thats your 5th summon, so Nibiru.
Nibiru is going to be a LOT more prevalent in the upcoming format.
I love her too but until they get more spell/traps that dont suck ass I don't think Chamber is a good starter anymore.
