>we're in the middle of the height of the AI boom
>zero games actually impliment any kind of AI usage
>before AI was a big selling point for games
What is wrong with the gaming market? Where's my Black and White 3 with a super advanced AI?
Where's all the impressive AI enemies that makes fighting them feel exciting and awesome, and not like Elden Ring where they just read your inputs.

Anti-AI faggots want it to fail so bad. You can't do shit. AI is here to stay. It will improve and fix eventually, just like what the tech industry has been doing. Hail AI.

Because companies like Nintendo and valve don't like it that's enough to crush the interest. Valve requires you to add labels like it's some health risk. And Nintendo is just being Nintendo.

You're funny. If you think idiots using AI to cheat, ERP with, and make anime pictures is a boom you are insane.

Generative AI is different from the kind of AI used in NPCs and systems, way too expensive to run for every user on a game past the most basic of text based prompts

Your internet couldn't handle real-time AI anyway. Enjoy paying a subscription to have third-worlders control NPCs in your single-player game.

1b to 4b models can be run on most gaming GPUs.

How could AI's over 25 years ago being handled on what we now could consider stone age technology without internet... but AI today needs an entire data center to function?

Except they are shit and can't be run simultaneously with the games anyway.

but you’d think they could apply the AI to the behaviour some how? i know right now unless you have a high end PC from 2022+ local LLM models run like shit. i saw some mods for Skyrim or Arma where they just tack on chatbot features to NPCs and they work as well as you’d expect (forgetful and break character instantly) but couldnt some of that “logic” be applied to their decision making?
