Cid from FF7 Rebirth doesn't match the personality of the original Cid.

The old Cid was a pessmistic chain smoking asshole who abused his wife Shera and would swear a lot.
NuCid is cheerful and happy go lucky and refuses to use profanity.

It just doesn't make sense.

We haven't hit Rocket Town yet so why should his entire backstory be dumped out? Also he's trying to hide how deep into Shinra he actually was before he told them to "fuck off."

This is going to sound like a cope but
when you meet Cid in FF7RB he's practically doing doing "customer service" face and is detached from the depressing reminder of his "failure".

There's still a chance he becomes pissy when he gets home. But I do agree the current version of Cid and Red are lame.
