Give your fossils to KL33N to clean up. Just clean up the gemstone fossils, or just give those to KL33N as well. Once your robot is at its highest level, it'll clean at 90%-95% success and will put your dinos at near max starting level. You'll generally find your dinosaurs sitting above 450% just from this, since it'll occasionally get red fossils and those get the 25% bonus on top of the 90%+ cleaning.
The only fossils you need to clean are the black obsidian ones, and those are always red fossils. Or you could just sell them if you really are bored with cleaning, but I found that cleaning just a bit was a fun break. You can also just hold onto the black fossils since you'll generally not be getting a full backpack anyway, and can clean them all together if you want.
If the battles are boring you, then I'm not sure what to say. Most are optional, and if you dodge other people, the only mandatory fights are story battles or when you dig out the black fossils.
