It starts out like that but then as you learn more you find out that she is some two faced bitch that lies, abandons, or manipulates everyone around her. V is just another pawn to her. The difference is he can just say "fuck you" and then she throws a tantrum and cries about betrayal when she was never going to save you and knew it. The ending in Cynosure is just her projecting as you learn more about her past and see that she basically screwed herself over from the start.
