I just got to act 3 and literally every single side quest I tried by flying around or going underwater had a massive difficulty spike and I cant into them at all what so ever. Is this normal? Are the companion quests you get at the campfire easier I havent tried them yet. But they seem like they have actual story.

My builds were fucking weird too and I ignored Luna and Sciel to shoot everything with free aim and burning shit with the other 3

Character models in cutscenes are dynamic and also represent HP. So if they're healed up, they look clean. If they're hanging on by a thread they're covered in blood. In the middle it's dirt.

There are a lot of builds available in this game. If you understand game mechanics or are good at dodging, you can easily jump into higher level areas. Otherwise, do the story quests in order and worry about the side content after you've seen the game's finale. The side content also has a lot of optional story content set before the finale.
