Y'know, these might be primitive, but thinking about it, despite the same concept being more than possible with smartphones, no one does it. Goes to show how limitations breed creativity

AVGN is sketchy these days, but this complaint is objectively correct
>include several inches of copper that immediately needs to be rerouted into the provided clip
>cable is shorter than advertised and costs more than necessary to include
Sega hates success

I never complain about the weight of my devices because I was raised on that piece of shit with a 200-gram madcatz rumble pack shoved inside. But, man, what a piece of shit of a controller it was. The only one to have a d-pad that's worse than 360's. And that's on a platform that specialized in fighting games.

I mean, maybe, if you're holding the controller parallel to your body. But if you're human, the controller is going to be tilted towards the console, meaning the bottom-positioning is not only sub-optimal by a full controller's length, but also starts the cord out going the wrong direction, so it has to double back by wrapping underneath. Hence the buttcheeks wire-holder.

A lot of soul. I remember the good times with Shenmue and this amazing memory card. You can see the characters there.

>weight
I was talking about wasted materials/design/manufacturing, not weight of needle-thin 22AWG

The green line in your drawing is longer
I don't hold controllers vertically like some batty housewife caricature
Feel free to worship Sega, but controller cable on the bottom is retarded. Why aren't charge ports there these days?

iirc they designed the PCB before the shell (Which is standard practice for most electronics, but obviously a bad idea for controllers). Same shit happened with the OG Xbox's first controller

Eh, someone buying a console for a specific genre is likely picking up a genre-specific controller anyway. Everyone I know that got a PS specifically for Gran Turismo also has a wheel, so I doubt it would be weird that anyone buying a DC for MVC and SF would also pick up a fight stick

It really depends on how exposed to the FGC you used to be as a kid. As a dumb 10-year-old, I kinda assumed that the pad should've done the trick.

I bought those Digimon tamagotchi when they got rereleased and could never get into them as much as when I was a kid.

Also the legend of Mana remaster had pocket playstation emulator. I wish all games did that. Not even the big ones do it. I think it might be the only one that ever did.

A Japan exclusive feature of PSN was the ability to play VMU games for a few select titles.

Well no the bigger issue is google and apple are faggots and would demand tithes and unreasonable kickbacks for letting you put shit on a phone.
Especially with google trying to pull the ladder up on installing whatever the fuck you want on your own phone.
>HI, WE DON'T HAVE A DATA SAMPLE FOR THIS KEYBOARD YOU MADE
>IT'S A WIRUS AND WE UNINSTALLED IT
>YOU HAVE TO USE THE GOOGLE CAMERA NOW THAT AUTOMATICALLY LICENSES ANY PICTURE YOU TAKE TO GOOGLE AND ALSO YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO USE ALTERNATIVE CAMERAS IN MESSAGES BECAUSE THEY COULD, UM, STEAL, THE PICTURES THAT WE WANT TO STEAL.

I get that, but bigger studios usually already have a mobile division and can clear all the bullshit Apple and Google throw their way. Only example I can think of along these lines is the iFruit app for GTA V, but that one never really worked

Dude I miss just not having to lobotomize my fucking phone every time it updates so it doesn't eat through all my mobile data or change my keyboard back to one that isn't a fucking keylogger every time I turn my phone back on.
