The Dilemma
>With PC, you control the experience and the content (mods, cheat engine, removing censorship, etc.), but don't own the product
>With consoles, you own the product, but don't control the experience nor the content

Do you mean your physical disk?
That's just a license m8, you're still bound to the terms of service including all future changes to those terms.

You own a physical contract saying you can borrow the experience. Said physical contract can be revoked, especially with every game being always online.

I own every single GOG and Pirated game
That includes the .iso files for my old consoles.
Everyone who buys a modern console is a retarded subhuman.

When the servers shut down, try to play the copy of Tony Hawk 5 you "own"
>Why would I want to?
This one's just the most egregious example, you probably don't want patchless versions of any game that rush discs out and use the manufacturing period as extra dev time for "day 1" patches
Mod your consoles, collect disc images and update packages and you can truly own your games
But if you had that mentality, you'd probably already be a PC gamer

Consoletards are one update away from loding their games at any moment, and the contract they have to agree to assures them that when this happens, there's no legal recourse available for them.
And the worst part? They KNOW all of this. That's why anon has to pretend his console is a special snowflake edition shitbox that has stayed offline since he bought it day 1

Maybe during the PS2/Xbox Hueg era that was the case. You don't own shit with the ones on the market now.

Yes.
Console:
>Console is offline
>Put game inside
>Play game but can't go online
>The End
PC:
>Connect to Steam
>Download game
>Uh oh! You're internet went out! Can't verify DRM License!
>Locked out into a humiliation ritual until servers are able to connect again.
