I got through NGB on normal just fine but I never quite took the time to grasp UTs and essence manipulation like I should have and I feel like it's REALLY biting me in the ass now

Just do on land UTs after you learn how to guard against essense so 2 orbs are on the field for you to suck them in.
I like NG2 but it's dumb as a rock once you understand it's nothing but this, kill one dude, do UT with his essense, leads to 2 guys dead, on land UT these 2 essense and repeat until it's over.
So dumb. And stupid trannies try to claim NG4 is worse than this in any ways shape or form. Even the garbage that is 3RE is still better off for trying to prevent UT spam (yet sadly added another spam kill method)

After hours of playing though, I still can't really grasp how exactly one is supposed to take on multiple enemies. Like Itegaki said, in DMC, the enemies are there for you to kill. In Ninja Gaiden, they are there to kill you. I'm on chapter 13 now, fighting the marrionettes. I don't think they are ultimately all that hard but I'm still getting raped in this section. It's a rapefest.

The worm boss on the hardest difficulty in that underground boss fight in the og version is the absolute worst. Idk if it’s in black but that shit made me take a break from my run for like 3 days back in the day

One of the most annoying things in NG2 is the lack of save points at the beginning of some chapters. If you are going to end a chapter on a boss fight and start the next with a collectible and a muramassa just give me a damn save so I can get straight into the action the 3000 times I inevitably die.

I'm just looking for advice from someone who might (and I know there are only few) be especially good at the game and know well how to get around without just using that. There are times where it seems practically required if not some other method where you avoid diving right into the midst of the action, but I can't confidently say the area I'm at is one of those, I think it can be done without that, but it's been a dice roll for me.

Yeah, fuck this game for now. Way to annoying to repeat this same fucking section 16 times over. I'm not even having fun. Unlocking MN isn't too far off at least.
