Beelstarmon is a mixed attacker. They tend to have weirder stat distributions, but the way I use mine is a self sustainer with Magic Thief. Mine leans more on phys to spam AoE dark attacks on mobs, and if SP is low, use Fly bullet or holy light III to get MP back. She's paired with Sirenmon that consistently lowers SPI, so that fly bullet can hit hard enough to get back a good chunk of SP.

My biggest peeve about Next Order is how the one specific mission REALLY wants you to build a BanchoLeomon.

I suppose you could grind for money, and always deevolve your digimon after a couple of levels, relying on the farm (and the agent skill tree) to get the stats for digivolution.

Get some Impmon. When you get digivolution and agent rank 3, you should be able to turn them into Witchmon. She's a little weird, but cute enough to be a good starter to waifu. Persist and you can turn her into LadyDevimon, Lillymon, or Lilamon.
In the prelude, there's a spot for Wanyamon. Get that and you can get Lunamon, who is a rabbit girl. Leans a bit more on furry side.
Get 2 punimon too if possible, digivolve them into the thing with the tail to get 2 renamon. You'll need 2 of them so that you can get both versions of sakuyamon.

I forgot which one it was, but you can also get Sirenmon once you unlock ultimate evolution, who is really great as a debuffer for magic teams. She evolves into Ceresmon if you so choose.
