there is literally nothing wrong with the type of people that DEI is trying to support. the problem is specifically DEI itself because it makes it about race, gender, sexuality, orientation, skin color, what the fuck ever and turns it into a checklist and an obligation. not something based on actual merit.

there is also specific bias that the lack of DEI also has. like anything. this is unavoidable because there are negatives in both directions. DEI solves a problem created by inherent biases but it creates more than it solves

DEl is by definition bad. if you are conflating dei with a brown person then there's nothing wrong with writing a story that takes place outside of europe so long as it is done organically, which prior to millennials taking over the writing jobs had mostly been the case.

Diversity of racial heritage has nothing to do with anything. It's all in the difference of religion and culture. Do you think the forced imposition of Protestant values in video games is a good thing? If you are a more fundamentalist Christian, you will probably think it is good, and moreover, necessary for a better society.
It's the same for liberals who are members of this secular religion of wokeism. They think it is good, they think it is necessary for a more just society. That's it. It's simple.
The rest of the population reacts as they would to religious fundamentalism being shoved down their throats in entertainment products, but liberals cannot understand this parallel (and why they are on the "wrong" side) because they have fallen for the scam that the religious doctrine they follow in a fundamentalist way is actually scientific and rational.

For video games specificaly , never.
The whole point of DEI is for investing into companies that value tgese metrics which would result in sustained progress in the future and not necessarilly offer big profits up front. But the checks and balances were completely off and we ended up having AAA games budgeting around DEI funds.

DEI sucks because the people consuming the media already live in a DEI life. Every major city in the West is a sea of Indians and Asians and Niggers, every government is forcing fag shit into every nook and cranny of peoples' lives, every police force is afraid to confront militant Islam, every advertisement is a Jewish fetish thrust in your face. You can go to LA or Toronto or London or Paris or Milan or Frankfurt or Barcelona and it's all the fucking same.
