I've always been curious about these kind of untranslated licensed slop, like what the hell do you even do in them? It makes me want to learn Japanese but then I realize the game is probably full of kanji squeezed into a blurry 8x8 jpeg and I'm dekinai.

I kind of wonder if any anime still get games and we just don't hear about them due to the games not being that special. Of course the big mass appeal stuff being pushed everywhere is going to have games. But I mean, like this picture depicts. Your humble otaku anime having a tie in game. They absolutely whore girls out in merchandise now. No reason they can't make a game.

old 4chan was unironically wholesome without reddit gayness, though.
believe me or not, there was a time when people actually posted something on /b/ aside from degenerate porn, which at the time was like 5% of all threads at best.
I blame 2016 and browns (including the ones who call other people "browns" in desperate attempts to fit in) for how shit this place has become.

Otaku media is dead, anime are done on shoestring budgets as promotion for other media, and developing video games is too expensive. Vidya tie-ins for otaku media have been replaced by gacha collabs, which are cheaper and will reach a larger captive audience than some half-assed VN would.

Because low quality shitposting threads made by underage proto-redditors that screencapped their own painfully unfunny threads are also non-offensive enough to be allowed and endlessly reposted on reddit so underage redditors can repost the repost to 4chan so they can show how hard they fit in

There are still about as much otaku anime with a good budget. It only seems like it was more common in the past due to the fact that your mind may lump it all together as a single period of time to compare to a modern year. There is a problem with no budget promotions, but those have always kind of been a thing. If I were to say the main issue, it is the fact that lower budget anime looks worse now. But this is because everyone is seeking some flashy unique art style even at the expense of good animation. Also, don't trust gachafags when they say gacha is dominating everything. They are deceitful and hate every other otaku media.

No there fucking isn't. I see maybe one anime worth watching a YEAR, instead of several each season. Isekai and narou are a fucking blight that has choked out nearly everything else.
There's really nothing sexual about the show, it has a nice atmosphere to it even imho but I still felt kinda dirty watching it. Like I could just sense that there are sickos getting their rocks off pissing and shitting in their adult diapers watching this or something.

Isekai is annoying but most of it comes from new studios made just to produce it. The fortunate thing is that isekai seems to be declining. The number of isekai this year has been very low. Of course, this doesn't keep /a/ from being flooded by botposts discussing each one. But that isn't too different from /v/ being filled with AAA discussion or any other board for that matter. Even when isekai is something most have forgotten, there will still be dedicated spammers pushing whatever they can find.

People posted on old 4chan to have fun. That's literally it
People post on reddit to show off and collect dopamine updoots
People post on new 4chan to push an agenda
>>724864117
Isekai being replaced with "oh no I got kicked out my party but I'm actually overpowered" or whatever narou template isn't any better. It's basically the same shit minus the truck.
>>724864514 >People post on new 4chan to push an agenda
You HEAVILY overestimate mental capacity of an average nu-chan poster. It's just pure primal aimless shit flinging. Not for fun, just because these insects don't know anything better.

According to a gentleman from /vr/ a couple years ago:
>I've been playing Ichigo Mashimaro on the PS2. I was motivated to do so after hearing that it's... strange. Conceptually.
> >So, you play as this twenty-year-old man and childhood friend of Nobue (also twenty) and have come back to your hometown for your summer holiday and want to see Nobue while you're at it. Nobue spends her time hanging out with her twelve-year-old sister and her friends, whom are swiftly introduced to you.
> >And so we have the goal of the game- to first befriend and later go on a date with one or more of these children (Nobue is not an option, only the kids).
> >It's the realistic quality to the interactions with the kids which makes it weird I think. These aren't your typical precocious dating sim lolis, the mashimaros are very innocent (this is an All Ages game, incidentally) and your interactions with them are mostly awkward, if nothing else. You build up the courage to go to little Miu's house after having bumped into her in the park a few times and mumble an 'Uh... I was wondering if... uh... you'd be interested in hanging out or something i-if you're not too busy...?' over the intercom, both character and player acutely aware of the wrongness of a twenty year old man asking a little girl to hang out with him and asking themselves what they are doing- and so comes the response: >'Sorry onii-san, actually I am a little busy right now...' >'O-oh... okay... maybe some other time...'
> >Anyway, I called Miu on her phone last night and have arranged to take her to the pool tomorrow. She didn't seem very keen on the idea though...
