This is just a problem with ARPGs in general. The genre feels like it's designed for long-term farming, but what that essentially means is that players will optimise the game out of the videogame
Especially if they want to do some bullshit player economy horsefuckery, because that just makes playing anything except the cookie cutter meta build into a retard test, because no matter what build you're playing, the aim is always to be as close to the invincible screen exploding sonic hedgehog build as possible, and if you're having fun with your non-meta build, it's eventually going to run into diminishing returns and hard cap at being worse than the meta build. So if you play the meta build worse to enable your gimmick, it's going to feel like shit in comparison, and if you do the opposite, you're going to be slogging it and get outpaced by chinese farmers until you can't penetrate the economy for shit.
