there's a video called can you beat simpsons hit and run without driving and it had a lot of views so I assumed it would teach me some interesting new stuff. I assumed surely he will use a small mod that removes the fail condition for not being inside a car, but no
>so if you fail a mission enough times, you can skip it. this means we didn't have to drive a car! I'll only use this if I have to :^)
>okay this mission fails you for leaving your car so we have to skip it :P
>okay we have to skip all of these missions
so what's the fucking point? if he called it 'how many missions can be beaten without driving?' instead it would be fine and I would get my answer watching it, but it's the deliberate decision of the title that pisses me off.

>BEATING x game without y mechanic
But I give it a pass when it is
>CAN YOU BEAT x game without y mechanic
Because you will get an answer of yes or no, but the interesting part of what you do outside of the legitimate impossible parts. Like for example, the A button challenge for Mario 64 is interesting not because of what isn't possible, but what has already been achieved and the theory crafting of the currently impossible ones.

Fair, I just find the answer myself not the be all end all. The only time I find it annoying is if it is a constant thing or is actual cheating to do it. If it is one instance and the video is edited well enough alongside interesting tech for every other instance, I'll let it slide.

the former

i remember during corona-chan's reign of terror there was some souls shitter that over did it and got criticized for it, he had a meltdown in the comments which alienated his entire audience (he averaged 500k views per video)

he tried to gain some sympathy back by trooning out, it didn't work so he went back to complaining, now calling his audience troonphobic

he uploaded a couple more videos (now averaging 2k views lamao) before he deleted the channel

i know this because i was a school janny at the time, i had to clean classrooms and scrub the toilets despite no kids attending, which left me with about 6 hours to mess around with my phone before i could clock out, and i watched a LOT of random shit in youtube during those years

i don't remember his name, but if it rings a bell, the dude used orange backgrounds for all his video thumbnails and he strictly did DaS1 content

Do you guys think i should try making yt vids? I would really like to talk about my sense of disillusion with internet celebs, and how in my opinion easy clout can stifle potential and acts like a false outlet for creativity.

It all stems from the fact that a lot of the people i used to watch in my youth are straight up losers right now, and yet they still coast off of embers of fame with like 1.200$ usd a month on patreon due to oldfag nostalgia.

The scale is a bit different, but for example a lot of the sleepycabin guys average from husk to trainwreck with some outliers.

In general there's a ton of podcasters that are somewhat popular but it's clear there isn't any further career to speak of, it's just a bunch of people grifting for as long as they can because waging sucks ass.

Its essentially social aid for being moderately likeable, since i would daresay a lot of them aren't providing worth.

Even the popular people tend to be absolutely retarded and underdeveloped in crucial areas from easy clout. Id parallel it with my favourite anime, Mob Psycho 100,.since it tackles similar ideas.

I know celebrities have had WILD incidents in the past, but in spite of that they still seem.to have an aura of legitimacy about them due to being "in" with the "industry". A youtuber is much closer to just a guy with a camera, and so it's easier to disregard the hype. imho.

ymfah gets a complete pass on the rare occasion he has to kneel both because he's actually entertaining and because when he does I'm fully confident he's spent at least dozens of hours, and the people attempting to collect his bounties have spent even more manhours, autistically trying to break the game to get around it compared to the average fag that just instantly gives up. Otherwise, the rest of the challenge must clearly be aids enough to make up for it.
