Do people actually enjoy DnD mechanics in video games?
It's literally a relic of boomer turn based SLOP from 50 years ago.

>Uses dice instead of RNG just because okay? Adding numbers greater than 6 too hard. Have to use two dice instead. TI-83 hadn't been invented at the time.
>No innovations or updates to it's boomer turn-based design in 51 years. No E33 parryslop dodging, no FF4 ATB, no Persona all out attacks, no persona "one mores"
>Entire system designed around boomers from 51 years ago using a pen and paper.
>51 years of advances in computing technology ignored. Rely on dice instead
>Roll dice to take a shit. Roll dice to wipe ass. All retarded mechanics that just encourage save scumming and smarter devs have long moved past because no one likes missables tied behind RNG.
>Only 12 levels. 90% of some characters (i.e. Karlach in BG3) just involve pressing the attack buttons. Most of those levels just let you attack one more time.

How is BG3 combat good again?

Have you considered that you’re just low IQ

Dice *are* RNG. D&D routinely uses dice with more than six faces. Dice-rolling resolution systems can be applied to many genres and mechanics, not just tabletop simulationist turn-based games and RTwP garbage. Generally mundane things are not included in the skill system, especially in adaptations, nobody makes you roll use rope.

>Only 12 lev-

Oh, it's BG3. Nevermind, that game sucks.

>Uses dice instead of RNG just because okay?
dice are a storied and historic form of RNG.
>Adding numbers greater than 6 too hard
what are you talking about? D&D's most iconic die is 20-sided, and the system uses a set from 4 to 100 sides.
>No innovations or updates to it's boomer turn-based design in 51 years
5th edition was released just ten years ago and updated again last year. not to mention spinoffs like Pathfinder.
>51 years of advances in computing technology ignored. Rely on dice instead
yeah, it's meant to be played in person without computers. there's apps you can use while playing if you really want but having a phone at the table is generally considered an unwanted distraction.
>Roll dice to take a shit. Roll dice to wipe ass.
neither shitting nor wiping are in the rulebook. in fact the character skills are limited to encourage roleplaying.
>encourage save scumming
there's no savescumming at the table, and if you can't stop yourself savescumming in a CRPG that's a you problem.
>Only 12 levels
there's 20. idiot.
