hilarious that Starfox has had like 6 attempts at reviving the series and they all flopped, but if anything else flops even once then it's shelved as an ip forever like Golden Sun or Chibi-Robo. StarFox fans love to cry how unfair it is even though Miyamoto bias has given you an indefinite number of chances to support and buy a new game.

This is all anyone has ever asked for, instead we got SF: Adventures, some weird tactics DS game, a gamecube game with tons of on-foot levels with horrible controls and a WiiU game where you spend all your time looking at a tiny screen instead of the TV. It's cursed as all hell.

In this day and age traditional Star Fox is kind of a bad value proposition at full price. Arcadey games are considered novelty throwbacks or budget titles in the public consciousness. Nobody wants to pay $80 for a Triple-A game just to beat it in an hour, even if it is meant to be replayable.

People would probably buy a game where Fox is running around and exploring on-foot the whole time if it was made in-house by Ninty and featured actual guns and gadgets and shit instead of hitting things with a stick, but at that point you kind of figure it should probably just be a third-person Metroid game, like Adventures should've remained as its own fantasy IP.
