I don't see the issue. His projectiles are all fairly predictable and manageable, and that's most of what you need to dodge during the fight. Outside of projectiles, the only thing you need to steer clear of is his tornado move, and that's as easy as jumping over it and pogoing. I first-timed him on my first and second playthroughs.

I beat GMS and I’m trying to get to Act 3 and I have no idea how you fags would find most of this stuff blind like the entrance to Thick Whicket, Bilewater, etc.

Early Bilewater entrance is right next to an item and an enemy, and not even mandatory, just another breakable wall. Wisp Thicket is bullshit that you need to luck into, possibly when scouring the map for fleas.
Act 3 being locked behind "just do everything lmao" is reasonably attainable due to genre conventions, though obviously pretty mean due to fleas.

Nah, it's a harder version of the Widow boss fight. I like that there's continuity between Widow, First Sinner and Grand Mother Silk because they're all silk weaving bosses; and Lace, Second Sentinel and Pinstress because they're all trained in the same school of pincraft.

Phantom represents kind of a fusion of the two because she's a pin-wielder with more advanced silk powers. Extremely kino gameplay-as-narrative.

Wisp Thicket is an intentional filter for bad players. If you come across a room that's suddenly a completely different biome than the adjacent rooms and you don't recognize that means there's a secret door to a new area, you are bad at Metroidvanias.

The walljump hanging from the ceiling isn't even that hidden, it's just there. If you come across it too early, you should at least recognize that it's something to come back to later after you get Cling Grip.

Didn't find whisp thicket before letting that one flea show me where the ones left over are.
After having no luck from the undergrounds side I eventually tried every possible corner in that direction till found the place, completely shocked there is still a "whole" new area I hadn't seen.

Bilewater was easy, the breakable wall in Sinners Road is obvious and has out of place corpses next to it. The fog is a much easier find from the Bilewater side too.

The one shithole I had to look up when cleaning up the last few % was the voltnest

I just wish Wisp Thicket opened up more connections to other zones. Having a back way into the Underworks is fine but it should have one-way breakable walls to get back to Bellhart on the west side and into Bilewater on the East. Otherwise there's no reason ever to go back to it after you beat Father of the Flame and get the craftmetal in the Underworks shortcut.

I avoided needle upgrades for the entirety of Act 2 and only upgraded when I found out that getting the first needle upgrade is a prerequisite for Silk and Soul. The flat damage nerf forces you to survive a boss's onslaught for longer and necessitates a greater understanding of a boss's moveset to win. I'd recommend the challenge for anyone doing a second playthrough. Unfortunately, it makes FotF, an already unfun fight, all the more gruelling and tedious.

And, funnily enough, the game does an effort to give you the location of the flea (even though you don't even need all of them to reach act3), so why couldn't they do the same for other similar things?

Besides, 2 weeks in, as many people who cleared act 3 did the SECRET cursed ending... If that's not a clear sign most people used a guide...

The game adds a giant Nyleth head icon to your map, in an unrevealed area under the Grand Gate. How did you not think to look there first, or to use silk soar in the elevator room with the high ceiling? Shit like the Wisp Thicket entrance is bullshit, but the way to Nyleth couldn't be more obvious.

I do agree with this. There's no reason that there shouldn't be a path to Nyleth through Shellwood. Making it only accessible through the Grand Gate/Underworks lift shaft is asinine. By all means, keep the connection but there needs to be a route through the zone for which she's actually the boss.

It would be like if the only way to reach Karmelita was through Greymoor, or Khann through Mount Fay. They're adjacent zones, but there's no reason to think that they have anything to do with the clues you're given.

The first thing you see when you fall down the shaft into the Underworks is a giant, vine-encrusted gate leading left, presumably into Shellwood. I can understand exploring Shellwood first, but if you didn't recall the giant door or didn't think to try the Grand Gate, which is visually the closest area to the Nyleth marker on the map, that's not the game's fault; that's on you.
