I have more money than sense, and my job gives me good free time these days, so I'm looking for a fun mmo. What mmo should I play in 2025? Or upcoming? I've played a lot of different mmo's over the years but I'm open to any suggestion that makes a good case. What mmo's are actually fun or good these days?

I used to like WoW but I quit a long time ago. swtor has always been one of my favorites. New World was neat but they just announced they're not doing further updates.

I feel like mmos are waning in general. It's all about the gacha and extraction shooters now

Why would 5 be average?
