The chest part of the armor was cut down to the coverage of a leotard but he left this weird giant metal collar instead of just using the base necklace to cover the neckseam. If you have someone in heavy armor several meters in front of the ranged party members, they should have a big threat lead without even doing anything. And yet it is a routine occurrence for enemies to run right past the tank and start whacking ranged, fucking up all of the positioning-dependent combat mechanics. It should be mathematically impossible and yet it happens.

I think if you always taunt instantly at the start of combat that can't happen but that's a waste of stamina most of the time that could be used for damaging abilities that generate enough threat on their own both from damage and bonus threat. The classic tank flowchart is to open with a scattershot, not taunt.
