PCSX2 now supports over 99.5% of PS2 games
Today, over 99.5% of PlayStation 2 games are playable on the PCSX2. Discounting regional variants and versions of games, only four games aren’t rated as “Playable” or “Perfect” on PCSX2’s compatibility list. These are DRIV3R, Final Fantasy XI, Marvel Nemesis – Rise of the Imperfects, and World Series Baseball 2K3.

I do all my PS2 emulation on Android on my chinkheld, but PCSX2 gitting gud is always good too, especially since more modern systems have been getting worse and greedier by the gen and the more people with access to retro games, the better.
One of these days, I'm gonna buy my parents one of those micro PCs and just load it up with upscaled retro games I think they'd like, as well as any other PC goodies I think they'd use since they don't have a PC and they'd be tickled by the idea of doing PC shit on their huge-ass TVs so they don't have to squint.

Full explanation:

This game was programmed in such a way that it needs all parts of the PS2's infrastructure (CPU/GPU/RAM) to be very strictly synced with each other, having very tight timings. PCSX2 currently cannot time it that accurately without games running at >1 FPS. Most games don't care and run fine, but Marvel Nemesis is not most games. If you mention Marvel Nemesis around a PCSX2 dev, the response will either be disgust or dread.

Eh, I've found a lot of the time with these things, they end up being the other way around, where the tests done to call it "playable" or "in-game" or whatever was done like 5 years ago and the game just works™ because the tests are so out of date that whatever issues the testers had are long-past fixed.

Also yeah, Brazilians testing Okage on a 20-year old laptop they fished from a river, heh.

Sly Cooper trilogy
Jak and Daxter trilogy (be ready for the shift in 2)

GTA SA
Timesplitters 2/Future Perfect if you want an actual story
Psi-Ops or that other Psychic game, forgot the name
Metal Arms Glitch in the System

I finished all of the uncensored undub of Xenosaga last spring and had little issues except for Saga 1. Saga 1 I had random GPU crashes whenever I tried to play that card game mini game. Luckily you can ignore that menu entirely and still 100% the game. I read somewhere that its better to play on native to avoid any problems like this. I set my game to native and never had any problems like that again. Was still too scared to try the card game mini game again though so I don't if it really fixed anything. I never had or saw any problems with ground textures like the other anon mentioned.

Saga 1 just a really badly coded game. There's also a bug that seems to exist on consoles where the area where you play as a character with duel guns for the first time. There's an extra door you need to unlock before leaving that area otherwise it'll become perma locked and the game will freeze whenever you try to go back and open that door.

Other than that, those were my only issues with Xenosaga 1.

Yeah, Third Age was basically Final Fantasy X with a Tolkien skin and I ate up every second of it. The turn-based battles were tight, and that weird “original characters just offscreen during major movie events” thing kinda worked in a janky PS2 way. Also that Helm’s Deep fight where you summon ghosts like it’s Kingdom Hearts? Peak weird tie-in game energy.
