The lighting in SF6 looks like shit most of the time, when the lighting is actually hits just right the game looks good. I feel like a lot of modern games have this problem where the lighting just ruins the visuals of the game. If the game has a day/night cycle it always looks like shit in the day and then good morning/evening/night.

If you wanted to refer to something respecting the original art style/direction of the creators you could have at least pointed to SF4 which owes its entire visual direction to Daigo Ikeno. SF6 compromises with a lot of realism and I think a lot of the original cast do suffer from a bit of a departure from their original appearance (characters like Ryu/Ken look appropriate but others like Cammy or Gief look odd). I'd say the DLC cast so far have done a better direction at staying true to a characters original appearance (look at comparisons such as Elena's SF6 model to her SF3 artwork).
As for the 2nd post you mentioned, I very clearly was saying how SF6 looks great under specific conditions and was pointing out the bad lighting that is shown in >>725011696

I think the next few months will be very make or break for a lot of people with SF6 and given how quiet the devs are I don't think it will go well. Any copium people had for the Year 3 balance changes affecting the character balance of actual direction of the game is pretty much thrown aside completely. If we don't see any kind of decent balance changes either before or with the Alex patch then I think even some of the more loyal fanboys will have to start calling this shit out. Especially with all the bad PR they have gotten with their handling of Capcom Cup 12 so far (and since they are the game devs it's not like they can deflect and blame the esports team for the state of the game itself).

Some of those autistic details are a blessing and a curse, it means they pissfart around when it comes to actually making new outfits for anyone but it does usually mean they put in a lot of detail. It's done a bit of a disservice considering the RE engine has really scuffed anti-aliasing on consoles/default PC settings. You need to have your render scaling up pretty high in order to get the models to look that clear
