How can a game be a 10/10 masterpiece when everything past act 1 is mid at best? If the whole game was at act 1 level of quality yes itd be a 9/10 maybe for me as of now its pretty forgettable 7.5 or 8

Act 3 seems like the ultimate brainlet filter. It's far and away the best act, packed with granular detail, incredible verticality, and a beautifully realized city. I'm happy to find fellow Act 3 enjoyers on occasion; makes me think not everyone is an ADD zoomer.

I think one can confidently state it was objectively far buggier than the previous two acts on release, and that will forever color perception of it. The final battle sequence was also kind of shit and boring. I haven't played the game at all in like a year, but even a year ago act 3 still had a lot of bugs and arbitrary triggers.

I played all the acts, 3 has a fair amount to do, but it's not nearly as well done as 1. Certain parts stand out more but other parts bring it down just as much. The romances and dialogue are weirdly underwritten, there aren't that many quirky fun camp scenes, the game is poorly balanced combat wise, and resources wise, so it becomes a slog, way more bugs in the later parts of the game too. By the time I got to bg there was no challenge left in the game whatsoever so all the tactical fun goes out the window. If the writing were better and like genuinely compelling I'd care more about the granularity of the world but it's pretty uninteresting, even as a D&D fan, at first it was really cool but the novelty wore off and objectively looking at the game this is what I think.

I think they said their secondary one is sci fi. I'm looking forward to that. I hope it's a good setting. I like CRPGs but I've never been as engaged with Fantasy as I am with anything from a time period or sci fi setting with guns.
