pgood. is the stealth for enemies that break obfuscate? i never tried that but otherwise that's pretty much how i build my nossie. i usually don't like stealth in games when it's just crouching and watching enemy patterns but with something like obfuscate i find it really fun.

honestly i still dont understand obfuscate? like the first thing i did was put points into it because i was told that i would break the masquerade by walking on the streets
but the only time i broke masquerade was walking right into someone (that one strike i have)
i could just walk around people and not break it so...??
i mean sure it was handy early on and i could skip human enemies no problem (i just walked through the inquisition level with no fucks given) so i guess that's the appeal of it yknow
all in all it was still pfun spying on people and reading all of the emails and making people super uncomfy just by existing it really felt like irl but better since i could just kill shit

yea the game exaggerates a bit how much you really have to avoid being seen. you just can't get too close and even if you get spotted it's not always a guaranteed masquerade violation except maybe from cops.

i liked playing malkavian first, because i find them fun mechanically and i enjoyed having to figure out my own responses a bit more than basic rpg dialogue which usually bored me. i still remember the first time i played and i accidentally pissed off nines by saying the wrong thing and that was entertaining in its own way.

i don't think everyone needs to play malk first, but how often people kept repeating that you can't play malk first and you won't enjoy it if you do because the only reason to play one is to catch all 7 bits of foreshadowing in the game just became so annoying. and that's probably why there are more people now saying you have to play malk first.
