I've already addressed what you said. "Nothing is original" does not mean that all things are equally inspired. There are things that vaguely resemble something else, and there are other things that seem like literal copies.
I think Toby leans more toward copying than inspiration, but that's just one of his characteristics. That doesn't mean his stuff is bad, but I think it diminishes him as an artist, which is why fans get so defensive when someone simply describes one of his easily visible characteristics.
As for me, yes, I have created a few things, including games that became relatively well known in the underground scene. I focus on narrative and character creation, and the only redeeming feature of my writing is precisely the fact that it is quite original, making it practically impossible to describe my style using anything other than my own creations as a reference.
Again, that in itself is not a good thing. Take Cyriak, for example, who has a very unique style of music that you can't compare to other artists, but in the end, it all sounds like total shit, LOL.
