I download and play every Resident Evil knock off there is. It's great. It's like living in a world where I get a new Resident Evil campaign DLC every day.

You know how people whine about there being too many knockoffs? Well, imagine if someone actually enjoyed knockoffs. it'd be living living in heaven.

ok but have you played the spinoffs?
Anonymous No.725004146 [Report] >>725004337
Based. I was making one myself, but got burnt out on it. One day, I hope you'll get to play it anon.

You know you're supposed to replay RE for score and not brainlessly bulldoze through 1 casual game a day like some consumer golem right

try do a new plot line, if you can. There's no problem copying gameplay, if it isn't broken, don't fix it. But there's no reason the plot should be the same every time even though it is.

I figure that copycats just aren't very imaginative I suppose. Greek Tragedy did a new plotline, that was neat. Dead of Darkness actually had The villain get shot in the head during his evil monologue.

I know people make fun of evil monologues, but they still don't interrupt them, ever. Even self aware games let the villain finish his speech. It was nice to see that properly subverted. They just fucking blasted him lmao.

I got the achievements for multiple playthroughs and seeing the other endings in the most recent game I beat. I'm just more efficient than you. I didn't get Ending S, to be fair, but that one is really hard and you can hardly blame me when 0% of players got it so no one else pulled it off yet either.

a new micro trend seems to be plant monsters, which should prove decent.

>dude you should play indie games they're just like the games you used to love but they're half as long and half as good as the games they're ripping off
I want all of these games to fuck off forever

A lot of times they are longer, Resident Evil games were pretty short actually, to get any good unlockables you had to beat those games in under 3 hours.

But you've never really had a clue what you're talking about, anyway. You must be pretty used to being wrong, considering how stupid you are? A dumb angry boy. Sit there and seethe.

Well, Ghost at Dawn is probably the "scariest" which is something a lot of these so-called horror games seem to forget about doing.

Them and Us is probably the longest one.

Daymare 1998 might be the best. But I might just like the Jurassic Park references, but it also had a rather unique ammunition system. It's just, how guns actually work. I don't know if I've ever seen a game do realistic ammunition. Bullets in every other game magically transfer between magazines somehow, but that's not how it works in real life. It's really fitting for a survival horror game too, I don't know why no one else does it like that.

You mean Alone in the Dark clones?

Conscript is a really good RE-ish clone.
WW1 setting with classic RE item management/puzzles and RE4 weapon upgrade system.

don't care about your semantics. most people are going to know the style i am talking about as RE or SH, not alone in the dark. shush your mouth, grognard.
>>725006001
i guess i should have specified, i mean recently released indie games.

Probably just play Tormented Souls. But there's also Hollow Body. And Suffer the Night falls into the realm of "actually scary" too, although it's a bit different. Also it has bullshit invisible enemies.

Lunar Eclipse is notable for it's developer's commitment to nudism. It actually gets criticism from both sides for this one. The protagonist can be fully nude, if you want. But no sexual intercourse whatsoever. The dev talked about it somewhere, but I forget where, about the concept of nudity not being sexual, you've hear the thought before, I'm sure.

Anyway, the prudes complain that there shouldn't be nudity and the other side whines about how they get to see nudity but no sex? So far, the dev has remained steadfast.

Pretty good game overall, anyway.

>very furious when people claim to enjoy games
Anonymous No.725009685 [Report]
oooh I just ran away and saved rather than trying to fight a new enemy that had it's own intro cutscene and that turned out to be the right choice. it explodes when you attack it and it's an instant kill.

I would have been fucked if I hadn't saved before trying to take it on.
